Automation Rules Not Triggering
If your automation rules aren't processing members, follow these steps.
Quick Checks
- Rule is enabled - Go to Automation → Rules, check toggle is ON
- Members meet conditions - Review member data, verify they actually match criteria
- Rule priority - Check if higher-priority rule is catching members first
- Groups selected - Verify rule applies to correct Groups
Common Issues
Rule enabled but not firing
Check conditions:
- Are conditions too strict? (No members match)
- Required email but members don't provide it
- Facebook age requirement too high
- Lead score threshold unrealistic
Test: Create a simple test rule (just "Has Email") and see if it triggers.
Wrong members getting processed
Fix:
- Review rule conditions (too loose?)
- Add spam keyword filters
- Increase lead score requirement
- Check keyword spelling/case sensitivity
Rules conflicting
Check priority: Priority 1 runs first. If Priority 1 auto-declines, Priority 2 won't see that member.
Solution: Order rules logically (spam filters first, approvals second).
Debugging Steps
- Check Activity Log for rule triggers
- Test rule with "Flag" action first
- Review flagged members - Do they match conditions?
- Adjust conditions based on results
