Common Error Messages

Reference guide for GroupHunter error messages and solutions.

Extension Errors

"Extension not installed"

• Install from Chrome Web Store
• Refresh dashboard after installing

"Permission denied"

• Grant extension permissions at

  chrome://extensions

• Allow access to facebook.com and app.grouphunter.io

"Could not establish connection"

• Restart browser
• Check extension is enabled
• Reinstall if needed

Sync Errors

"Failed to sync members"

• Check Facebook session is active
• Verify you're a Group admin
• Try manual sync from Facebook page

"Rate limit exceeded"

• Facebook temporarily blocked requests
• Wait 15-30 minutes
• Reduce sync frequency

"Group not found"

• Group may have been deleted
• You may have lost admin access
• Refresh groups list

Automation Errors

"Rule execution failed"

• Check rule conditions are valid
• Verify member data exists
• Review Activity Log for details

"Message send failed"

• Member may have blocked you
• Facebook rate limit reached
• Check member's message settings

Payment Errors

"Payment method declined"

• Update payment method in Billing
• Verify card details are correct
• Contact your bank

"Subscription expired"

• Renew subscription in Billing page
• Check payment method is valid
