What is GroupHunter?

GroupHunter is the smartest way to manage Facebook Group members and capture leads on autopilot. It pairs a Chrome extension with a web dashboard to transform how you handle Facebook Group administration.

What GroupHunter Does

GroupHunter helps Facebook Group admins:

  • Auto-approve or decline members based on criteria you configure per group
  • Capture emails and phone numbers extracted from membership question answers
  • Score and qualify leads automatically on a 0–100 scale
  • Send welcome and decline messages automatically when members are processed
  • Sync approved member data to Google Sheets in real time
  • Save 10+ hours per week that would otherwise be spent on manual approvals

How It Works

GroupHunter operates through two components that work together:

1. Chrome Extension

The Chrome extension runs in your browser and:

  • Detects when you open a Facebook Group admin page
  • Syncs pending member requests to your GroupHunter dashboard
  • Extracts contact information from membership question answers
  • Executes automated actions (approve, decline, send messages) on Facebook on your behalf

The extension must be running whenever you want GroupHunter to process members. It does not need to be kept open — it runs in the background as long as Chrome is open and you're logged into Facebook.

2. Web Dashboard

The dashboard at app.grouphunter.io is your command centre for:

  • Viewing all captured members and leads across your groups
  • Configuring per-group automation (auto-approve criteria, messages, Google Sheets)
  • Reviewing analytics and lead data
  • Managing tags, filters, and member history

The Core Workflow

The intended flow for getting GroupHunter running is straightforward:

  1. Sign up — Create an account using your Facebook login at app.grouphunter.io/signup
  2. Install the extension — Done during the onboarding steps inside the app
  3. Sync your groups — GroupHunter imports all groups where you're an admin
  4. Enable a group — Toggle it on from the Groups page
  5. Configure its settings — Open the group's Settings to set auto-approve criteria, welcome messages, and Google Sheets sync
  6. Let it run — GroupHunter handles approvals automatically from that point

Per-Group Settings is the primary automation tool. Each group has its own independent configuration — different criteria, different messages, different spreadsheet. Global Automation Rules (under the Automation menu) are an advanced feature for cross-group rule-making.

What GroupHunter Is Not

  • It does not post in groups or manage group content
  • It only processes pending membership requests, not existing members (unless you sync them manually)
  • It requires the Chrome extension to be running on a device where you're logged into Facebook
